Two Small Fish
Minnows Five minute devotions
Jesus blessed the fish and fed the multitude.
| Snow falls silently in the night. The beauty of a fresh blanket of snow glistening with the rise of the sun causes a childish wonder in our hearts. How many snowflakes does it take to cover the ground? God alone knows. Scientists claim that no two snowflakes are exactly alike. Since God takes the time to create each unique snowflake, we can be sure that He takes the time to create each of us just the way we are. It pleases Him to do so. Psalms 139:14 says that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Thank God that you are as unique and beautiful as a snowflake. | ||

Candlelight brings a warmth to its surroundings through its peaceful
existence that goes undetected through any other light. A candle's small
flame draws our attention and holds us captive. Darkness cannot overcome even the smallest flame. We purchase candles for
one purpose -- to give light.
Psalms 18:28 says that the Lord keeps our candles burning and He turns our darkness into light.

The robust aroma of coffee allures us to the kitchen. After we pour it
into our mugs, its warmth penetrates our chilled hands. We draw a deep
breath of its strength and relax a few minutes before we begin our busy
routines. With coffee mug in hand, we watch the sun rise over the horizon.
Like the alluring aroma of coffee, God's presence draws us close. His strength rejuvenates our chilled spirits. The coffee, the sunrise, the content feeling are all gifts from Him. Psalms 16:11 tells us that God desires to show His love for us in simple everyday pleasures. He's always near. If we look for Him, God will reveal Himself to us. |
